A Novel Decision Support System Based on Fuzzy Multi Criteria Decision Making for Optimizing Machining Parameters

The aim of this study is to develop a novel decision support system, which has never been developed yet, in order optimize machining parameters. We combine the three distinct methods: experimental design and analysis, fuzzy data envelopment analysis (DEA) analytical hierarchy process (AHP). Firstly, full factorial experiment including four factors levels carried out. take into account cutting speed, feed rate, depth cut number tool inserts as factors. following outputs are selected: Material Removal Rate, Machining Time Surface Roughness. Secondly, total 23 experiments determined efficient decision-making units using DEA with super efficiency method. Finally, AHP approach conducted rank among each other. In conclusion, results show that Fuzzy DEA-Fuzzy Super Efficiency generate clearly different rankings Approach outperformed Approach. highlight importance taking expert opinions processes.
